  • What is Mighty Bliss recalling?
    Mighty Bliss is conducting a voluntary product recall across all three SKUs of our electric heating pad products sold on Amazon (and Walmart) due to product safety concerns. Use of this product may cause skin burns. This recall impacts products sold from July 29, 2021, through July 21, 2022. Customers with questions about whether products they own are part of this recall should refer to the product lot number on their unit (found on the bottom of the heating pad) and reference our webpage for a complete list of affected product lot numbers included in the recall.
  • How to identify recalled product?
    Recall applies to Mighty Bliss heating pad products distributed through Amazon from July 29, 2021 through July 21, 2022 Recall includes three different product models - Mighty Bliss Extra Large (12”x24”) Heating Pad in blue (SKU: MB-001, Amazon Product ID: B07G2M1LBW) Mighty Bliss Double Extra Large (20”x24”) Heating Pad in blue (SKU: MB-002, Amazon Product ID: B07N32GV5Q) Mighty Bliss Extra Large (12”x24”) Heating Pad in gray (SKU: PE-MtyBls-HeatPad - 12x24-Gry-VT, Amazon Product ID: B09NMLLN67) And applies across the following lot numbers: Note: The lot number can be found on the bottom of your heating pad in black text at the bottom of the Instructions (click here).
  • Is the Agency forcing you to recall the products?
    No, this is a voluntary product recall that is being made with the knowledge of the Food and Drug Administration. We are taking this action in order to ensure the health and safety of our customers.
  • What do I do with my affected product?
    Please ensure your heating pad is unplugged and safely cut the cord of your heating pad. Please provide a picture of the unit with the cut cord to demonstrate that the product can no longer be used. Please upload pictures through our website portal at
  • How will I be reimbursed?
    Once registration is complete and approved, a reimbursement check will be mailed for the purchase price of your device.
  • Have there been any illnesses or injury?
    We received 31 customer complaints that reported injuries such as mild shocks, burns, and rashes or irritation.
  • Are the products I purchased affected? (Question from customer)
    If you purchased a Mighty Bliss heating pad between the dates of July 29, 2021 through July 21, 2022 from Amazon or Walmart and your product’s lot number matches the impacted lots listed on our website, then your product is impacted by this recall. Please note, while you have received a notification regarding this recall from Amazon, you are only impacted if your product meets the specific purchase timelines and lot number criteria.   • Have you stopped shipping the product?
    Yes, we voluntarily paused sales and replacement of these products on July 21, 2022.
  • Can you provide assurance that the product that we are buying from you is perfectly safe?
    We have communicated with our customers in order to provide them with complete information about the identity of the projects subject to our recall. Consumers should check the agency webpage in order to make sure that they are aware of the identity of the products that are being recalled.

  • What happened to cause the issue?
    This recall has been initiated due to product safety concerns. We received 286 complaints between July 2021 to September 2022 related to the product overheating, sparking, burning, or presenting other electrical problems.
  • What should I do?
    Retailer If you may have further distributed this product please review purchase timelines and lots numbers to determine if you are affected by the recall. If you are, please identify your customers and notify them within two (2) business days of this product recall. Your notification to your customers may be enhanced by including a copy of this recall notification and must include the following link: Customer Please request that customers ensure unit is unplugged, safely cut the cord off of the product then take and upload a picture to of the product with the cut cord to demonstrate that the product can no longer be used in accordance with the instructions detailed in the link above. If you are a consumer of these products you should check the Agency’s webpage in order to determine whether the product in your possession is subject to recall.
  • When will you resume shipping?
    While we are anxious to provide our loyal customers with the products they love, we will not resume shipping until we have assurance that the product meets the highest quality and safety standards.

  • I received my reimbursement but it did not include tax.
    The Mighty Bliss Electric Heating Pad reimbursement check reflects the unit price of the device at the time of your purchase. Unfortunately, taxes and additional fees are not included in the recall reimbursement.
